First Birthday...

This wonderful occasion was held this weekend with the presence of all her friends and family. She was such a happy character throughout the evening; smiling, laughing & entertaining all her guests. It was a great pleasure for me to attend and celebrate with her; I really can't believe she's ONE already.

Together with the fabulous food, marvelous Minnie Mouse cake done by a friend of mine, all the fun and games... I got to share a few treats especially for my sweet girl.

Cupcake Gone Mini

Been busy busy busy in the kitchen this weekend. Pictured above are my 'Pop-A-Cakes' made into miniature sized cupcakes. These are much the same as the Cakepops from my earlier blog post but unlike the soft sponge, these mini treats have a surprise brownie filling. Licked your lips?! Hehehe... they are really a mouthful of goodness.

Sweet, Tasty & extremely CUTE!

To start off the year, I gave a go at making Cakepops... "CAKEPOPS?!" You question. The best way I can think to define them is that they are bitesize cake pieces coated in coloured candy; made to look like a lollipop. I must say, it was certainly fiddly baking to say the least however, the outcome was soooo worth it!!! =)

Here are ones I made for my Papa's birthday and to welcome the New Year

 

Soft sponge cake balls shelled in blue and also pink vanilla coating; sprinkled with hundreds & thousands for a final touch. I was more than happy to share these little treats with many of my friends and family and was really chuffed with the great comments I got.
